Design in Action

As an artist and designer, I often try to look beyond the expected as I try to express my ideas in ways that are sometimes a little “out of the box.”  I work most often in textiles, but I am fascinated by other artists and how they approach design issues within the parameters of their media.  I get inspired by museum exhibits, web sites, and blogs that show how other artists approach their creative work.

I can hardly wait to see this exhibit at the Hunter Gallery at Seattle Central Community College.   It is the 2nd annual xType Culture
xHibition, and it is amazing how something that is so much an unnoticed part of our everyday lives can become so exciting and entertaining.  Check out the preview at this blog:

Perhaps I will see you there.
